key duties and responsibilities:
this position manages the public relations
and communications team and has operational responsibility for theschoolofmanagementand economics (sme) and
shenzhen finance institute (sfi) wide services which cover the areas of media
management, brand and marketing, communications, publications, and event
management. the candidate needs to:
1. collaborate closely with
cross-functional teams and program managers to devise and execute comprehensive
marketing and communication strategies aligned with the school's goals and
objectives;
2. build and maintain strong and engaging
relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while ensuring
sme/sfi’s interests are maximized;
3. creating compelling story angles and
crafting key messages, while efficiently managing media inquiries and fostering
strong relationships with the media and stakeholders, to ensure seamless and
effective communication;
4. manage relevant marketing channels,
audit all contents published and work on trend research and competitive
analysis to support strategic decisions to optimize on opportunities;
5. develop strategies and plans for a
variety of corporate and pr events such as summits, ceremonies, seminars,
workshops, press conferences, guest visits, and partnership development events;
6. manage all aspects of event planning,
including logistics, communication, vendor/supplier selection and management,
budgeting, and on-site assistance;
7. handle patron inquiries and provide
excellent customer service throughout the event planning process;
8. establish, develop, and cultivate a
high-performing team that fosters growth, collaboration, diversity, and
equality, through training, support, and ongoing maintenance;
9. other work assigned by superiors.
qualifications and requirements:
the pr and communications team focus on
promoting the school and delivering outstanding internal and external
communications. the candidate needs to have experience across marketing &
communications disciplines and be able to deliver outcomes whilst working in a
dynamic environment.
1. relevant degree is required, preferably
in marketing, public relations or communication;
2. eight to ten years plus experience in a
marketing and communications role; experience in higher education will be well
regarded but it is not essential; candidates with industry experience are
preferred;
3. exceptional leadership skills, with
proven experience in team management, delivering communications, marketing and
media management;
4. collaborative, proactive, strong sense
of responsibility, can easily navigate conflicting priorities, build strong
relationships, and bring the team and stakeholders together around a shared
purpose;
5. excellent bilingual communication
skills in chinese and english.
salary and benefits
salary will be competitive, commensurate
with qualifications and experience. appointments will be made under the
establishment of cuhk-sz and statutory benefits will be provided according to
the prevailing labor laws applicable in the prc. the appointee will be based at
the university campus in shenzhen, prc.
