As a member of China Compliance Operation team, we are responsible for the classification of Amazon ASINs into correct product type that can apply appropriate regulatory requirement for downstream product development and compliance fulfillment, testing management with internal quality team and testing lab to ensure Amazon product comply with regulatory requirements, vendor compliance document review and compliance approval to release shipment, other compliance programs engagement to implement local safety and regulatory requirements compliance immediately. We also prevent the sale of items that either Amazon chooses not to sell or are prohibited by law or regulations. In private brand area we proceed multiple compliance operation tasks to ensure Amazon owned products comply with Amazon compliance policy and target country requirements. You will work to ensure that the imported products have been tested in certified laboratories and comply with the legal requirements of the importing country, to take appropriate actions in order to protect customers from recalled or unsafe products.

Amazon Compliance Operations team (C-Ops) is looking for a smart, energetic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join our team. The successful candidate shows excellent judgment and instincts in decision making and proactively and continually improves their level of knowledge about Amazon’s business, its platform, and relevant technologies. This is an exciting and challenging position that provides Product Compliance support as a Subject Matter Expert contributing to Amazon’s successful adherence with worldwide product and consumer safety requirements.
SME will apply satisfactory level of compliance knowledge of internal regulations mainly for but not limited to NA, EU, JP, IN regions, create disruptive and innovative solutions to product classification, testing and compliance issues, invent and simplify processes to enable vendors, and manage complicated cross-functional projects focusing on compliance regulation and compliance issue dive deep.
-Develop best-in-class processes and systems, and drive continual quality/process improvement to mitigate potential compliance risks.
-Provide compliance technical support to operation processes like compliance document review, product type classification and product testing, interpret regulatory knowledge to operation associates/stakeholders to help handle daily operation task smoothly.
-Work with Amazon’s internal operation team to develop creative and best-in-class product compliance business processes that can scale up.
-Work with upstream Amazon’s product Compliance team to execute compliance strategy, resolve operation compliance issues, seek for process excellence opportunities and leverage technologies if required.
-Drive scalable business solutions which ensure products comply with consumer product regulations.
-Communicate/ technical regulatory requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
-Work cross-functionally and manage compliance training and awareness raising programs in operations teams.
-Mentor and guide Quality lead / Process Expert to manage quality, improve process efficiency and minimize compliance variations and deliver compliance trainings to the team.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree required with a scientific focus.
-At least 3-5 years of experience with import/export consumer product safety compliance program management and 3rd party laboratory testing experience.
-Strong experience with global regulatory requirements such as: CPSIA, FDA, FCC, EPA, CCPSA, TSCA, EN 71, RoHS, WEE, CE mark, ErP, IEFTL, Brexit, PSE, Food Sanitation Law, China CIQ etc.
